This year’s commemorations for the Shire of Boorowa are as follows:
The Boorowa Dawn Service at the Boorowa War Memorial will commence at 6am.
The service will be followed by a “gunfire BBQ breakfast” at the back of the War Memorial.
Coffee, tea and other beverages will be offered.
The War Memorial will remain open for inspection until 8am.
ANZAC badges and memorabilia will be on sale.
The Rugby Dawn Service will commence at 6.30am.
There is always a welcoming fire and plenty of time for a chat before the ceremony.
Marchers form up at the Rugby Hall to match to the Memorial Gates.
Those not marching take up positions at the Memorial Gates.
Boorowa Cadets will provide the Catafalque Party.
The service lasts around 15 minutes and everybody is invited back to the Rugby Hall to enjoy at traditional ANZAC coffee and toast.
A guest speaker will attend.
The main service of the day will be held at Boorowa War Memorial at 11am.
Assembly for the March is at 10.30am.
The March starts from the Post Office in Queen St at 10.45am and is for all serving and ex-service personnel, Cadets, Fire Brigades and similar organisations and school children.
Any persons wearing relative’s medals are also encouraged to march.
Once again Boorowa Cadets will provide the Catafalque Party.
After the ceremony, the War Memorial will remain open for visitors until 12 noon.
The War memorial will be opened again for public display between 3pm to 4.30pm.
There will be a lunch at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club at 12 noon for 12.30pm.
Veterans, serving and ex-serving personnel are invited.
Two-up will start after lunch so please support the two-up as proceeds go to support Legacy.

Boorowa RSL Sub-Branch
Most of the Executive Committee retired after the February general meeting of the Sub-Branch.
The following Committee was elected at the Annual General Meeting:
-Phil Armitage: President
-Steve Barnes: Vice-President and Treasurer
-Arthur Hoswell: Vice-President
-Sandie Armitage: Secretary
RSL Band
The RSL Band has been successfully brought together for this year’s ANZAC ceremony and March.
The RSL will be looking to seek more Band members for next year’s ceremony over the next couple of months and are anxious to recruit more volunteers to join the RSL.
