The club trophy was won by Greg Atkins, with a round of 84 less 26 handicap for a net 58 score.
In second was Andrew McGrath on a net 59.
Both have lost a shot as a result of their good play which means their handicaps may not see them so far ahead of the field.
The recent rain has seen a transformation on colour on the course which is continuing to improve and is showing to be very good value for money as other courses in the area and the coast charge a lot more money for courses that are not much better than Boorowa.
Remember the Club's restaurant is open and the golf ball drop is underway.
So come along to enjoy the atmosphere.
The Golf Club's AGM is on February 8 so please come and participate.
The Australia Day celebrations were overshadowed by the annual nine hole event that was held at the Rec Club with the 17 players getting involved for the festivities.
The men overall winner was Tim Good with a net 29 from Simon Pye on net 31.
The longest drive went to Bob Styles and the nearest the pin to young Zach Reid.
In the ladies competition, the winner was Polly Farrell with a net 36 with Monica Good a close second on 36.5, but she made up for not winning claiming the longest drive and the nearest the pin.
A special thankyou goes to everyone who came alone and played and enjoyed the annual event.
In bowls news, a team went away to Bribbaree on Sunday and had an enjoyable time supporting their club.
Remember that it all happens at the Rec Club.
