Australia Day has come and gone but from my aspect Boorowa enjoyed a great day shared with a great ambassador John Paul Young, and, I must add, his musical director Warren Morgan.

John Paul sang his great hit 'Love is in the Air' as part of his address in the park, then repeated it at Balladeers along with 'Yesterday's Hero' and Pasadena".
All I can say was we were privileged - thank you JPY.

Congratulations to all our winners on Australia Day, but I must acknowledge Marilyn Miller's overdue recognition of her years of service to Boorowa organisations, a well deserved Citizen of the Year.
Murray Armour has also done remarkably well in his chosen career, winning apprenticeship awards and now acknowledgement as Boorowa Young Achiever for 2015.

As President of the Boorowa Australia Day Committee I've received congratulations on the success of the day, it is really the committee members and helpers who do such a wonderful job bringing this day to you who deserve that thanks, and thanks to all those who turn out to join in the celebration of this great day..

Sometimes we miss thanking those we should probably thank the most.
The pool was open free of charge on January 26, and Lisa Hirsch maintained the Australia Day theme with a Pool Party for all attending which included free food and drink, and she kept the theme going all day.
Well done Lisa, your input and generosity helped to make our celebration that much more enjoyable.

Weight seems to be an ongoing concern for many from, alarmingly, the very young to the older generation.
There are so many organisations offering diet plans, schemes, gimmicks, whatever to attract our attention.
One somewhat fat woman had tried them all and in despair said, "Losing weight doesn't seem to be working for me, so I'm going to concentrate on getting taller."

Some serious consideration had to be given to attend the amalgamation meeting today (Thurs 4/2).
I was pleased to find registration very easy.
Amalgamation is I think, unfortunately, going to become a reality.
If this is the case, Boorowa really needs a strong Progress Association.
We actually have this in the form of the Boorowa Business Chamber.
This organisation has Boorowa's future at heart but is struggling for numbers and perhaps looking at folding.
Boorowa Business Chamber has their AGM scheduled for Tuesday February 23, 6.30pm at Boorowa Hotel.
All business owners and residents are invited to attend this meeting and I urge you to do so.
Support for Boorowa's future needs you.
