Boorowa gymnasts travelled to Cowra PCYC on Saturday, November 22 to compete on Recreational Sports Acrobatic and Team Gymnastic Competitions with Yass and Cowra.

The Recreational gymnasts perform 12 gymnastics skills which vary depending on age.
Our recreational competitors were Anika Li, Lachlan Li, Preston Harris, Cooper Downey, Laylah Hughston, Kai Blom, Finlay Shore, Marley Sellenthin, Tamsyn Ritchie and Elle McIntosh.
Zac Franklin and Colby George both competed in Mag Silver Level Recreational Competition.
They are judged on a series of skills performed in set routines on six apparatus.
In Sports Acrobatics, gymnasts compete as pairs or trios and complete two routines on the floor, each scored out of 10.
Each routine includes eight skills that are performed as partner/trio balances or individually in unison.
Boorowa had no trio performers this year.
Marlie McIntosh and Natasha Hagar were out level two pair and Claire Howlett and Talia Halls competed at Level Three.
Shania George and Emily Dickson were placed 1st in Level one and Holly Blom and Carrie Smith second.
The other pairs were Marnie and Talia Halls, Zac Franklin and Lachlan Li, Colby George and Kai Blom.
The competition results were close across the board.
Up to 12 gymnasts may compete as a team in the Novice, Intermediate or Open Division of Team Gym and they perform, a series of tumble turns, mini tramp jumps and a choreographed dance.
The three sections are each scored out of 10.
Our Intermediate team was placed 1st.
The team members were Mackenzie Gooley, Marlie McIntosh, Talia Halls, Shania George, Claire Howlett, Marnie Halls, Holly Blom and Natasha Hagar.
Gymnasts are currently practicing for the end of year display that will be held on Saturday, December 12.
The display commences at 11.30am, is open to the public and is free of charge.
