The annual Boorowa Quick Shear is only weeks away, running in conjunction with the Irish Woolfest. Hosted by The Court House Hotel, Saturday, October 3 is the day to put all shearers, local and surrounding, to the test. Starting at 11am is the Learners Division, encouraging all upcoming shearers, farmers, rouseabouts and the like to get in and give it a go for the generous prizes and money on offer. Following the Learners is the Intermediate division which is for competitors who have previously won a Learners division or have shorn over 5000 sheep in their career. Following the Intermediate is the Open division and finishing with the Local division. Competitors in the Local division can be any shearer or person who can shear who lives within the Boorowa Local Government Area. More information is available on the day.
