Saturday October 10 will see both sides take on Harden in a local derby. Round 1 of the competition does not commence until October 17, however both Harden and Boorowa agreed to bring their round two clashes on October 24 forward to October 10 to allow players to attend the Harden Picnics on October 24.
And so Saturday week will see the first grade team travel to Harden whilst the 2nd grade team will debut at the Boorowa Recreation ground against the Harden side.
Both games commence at 12.30 with the A-Grade players 45 overs a side with the B-Grade playing 40 overs per side.
The interest in the two teams has been excellent and hopefully this will transition to a good roll up too games throughout the season.
The teams for next weekend will be finalised in the coming days so if you are keen for a hit please contact Chris McIntosh at the Courthouse Hotel or get in touch with Phil Coggins, Brendan Shean or Murray Armour who will be happy to answer all you questions and get you in a team.
Junior players are welcome to participate as the main aim of the second grade team is to give our up and coming cricketers a taste of senior cricket whilst combining with some older players who still want a hit without being too competitive.
It's been a while since we have had two teams so everyone is invited to get involved both on and off the field.
Once we are up and running on the field we will be looking to organise more social activities, in particular for those having withdrawals after the end of footy season.
Training will be on Friday evenings and all matches are on Saturday's.
Don't forget to like the Boorowa Cricket Facebook page where you can get up to date on all of the latest local cricket news.
Next week will see a full preview of the first game. It's going to be a massive season both locally and Internationally so be a part of Australia's greatest summer past time. We don't like cricket, we love it.
