Saturday Golf saw a excellent turnout for the Bob Styles trophy, with both the weather and the course looking beautiful. The big hitting of youngster James Green played well below his handicap with a net 56. James is new to golf and playing really well, with scores like this he won't hold his big handicap for long. In second place was Russell George with a net 60, also an excellent score, considering the cool air. Sunday golf was the Monthly Mug trophy and looked to also be in James Green's grasp, even expressing the size for the shirt he required when he won. But as in life the golfing gods saw the pride of his mannerism and brought him crashing back to earth with some wayward hitting. Of course he was reminded of his boasting by those with him.
