The second game was TBAB up against Gret's Girls. TBAB came away with the victory 67 to 29. Gret's Girls are showing a lot of promise with Casey Schleibs and April Corcoran giving it there all. Didn't take Kirsty Stevenson long to realise that she wasn't playing netball and scored 9 points for TBAB.
The third game saw All Stars 43 defeat Rugby 21. David Hinds was only saying the other day how is body was starting to slow down but there was no signs of that after 3 rounds of the season and he continues to be as good as player as he ever was. Will Wales is a new player to the Rugby team and is going to be very difficult to chase down by the end of the season.
Final game of Wednesday night was between #Ally-Oop and Mix Matches. #Ally-Oop took home a large win defeating their opposition by 73 to 12. Dannielle James had a great game for #Ally-Oop throwing her whole body on the line and ended up on the floor fighting for the ball. Karen Howard was continually trying for Mix Matches and managed to top score for Mix Matches.
Thursday May 7 at 6.30 was the commencement of the second lot of games for round 3. The first game took place between Carly and Foulers. Carly took the win 43 to 32. Tayla Collier played very well for Carly whilst Holly Stewart put in an exceptional effort for Foulers and was the top point scorer for the game overall.
Rolemodels then took the court against Ram and Stallion and also came home with the win. The score ending up 54 to 28. Brady Halls top scoring for Rolemodels with a high 28 points and has been improving every week so far. The new comer Mitchel Cassells had a great game for Ram and Stallion. He may only be small but look out with a few more games under his belt.
The third game of the night was a very close game. So close in fact that the scorers could not be split and ended up 26 all. This game was between Still Dunno and Rebels. The Liddle sisters Morgan and Brianee scored 18 of Still Dunno's 26 points between them. I think there must be a little bit of practicing going on at home in Rye Park. Whilst on the Rye Park front Robyn Veness was top point scorer for the night for her team Rebels. Maybe there is a secret basketball court out there that we have not been told about yet.
The last game saw MAD 33 defeat Kickass 23. The young girls in MAD are showing a lot of potential and are going to take a lot of chasing down come the end of the season. Mackella Pye put 100 per cent effort in for MAD. Tammie Pye gave it her all for Kickass as she has done for the last three weeks.
