I wish to congratulate the town of Boorowa for their wonderful tribute to the 100 years of Anzacs. I had the pleasure of being invited to be apart for the celebrations in Boorowa for Anzac day and was very impressed in the way the town has taken the time and effort to put Boorowa on the map for holding the Anzac Dawn service and March that everyone in Boorowa should be very proud of.
After the March the commemoration service so done so well and the reading of the names of the 66 Boorowa men who died in the Great War, nice to hear their names, they were not forgotten. The inside of the Memorial was a great display and thank you to the people who put all their hard work and hours of time preparing the room for future generations to enjoy.
The new Rotary Park 'A Glimpse of Gallipoli' is just beautiful, where there was nothing but baron ground last time I was in Boorowa is so refreshing to walk through.
Thank you to the Ex-Services Club for the lovely luncheon provided after the March and the Musical entertainment was provided was amazing, the local talent was very enjoyable, well done to all those who participated.
I am grateful to Di Elliot and Ann Wales for the Book Boorowa Remembers; this is something that I will hold dearly as my grandfather is part of the history of Boorowa's fine young men who took up the call to fight for King and country in 1915.
Regards,
Mary Eastlake.
