Over recent months the Boorowa Council has been working with the Boorowa RSL Sub Branch, through its Boorowa Remembers committee, and a number of local organisations to design, fund and effect the changes to the Rotary-owned park, which is adjacent to the Boorowa War Memorial.
The finished product is a salute to the servicemen and women of Boorowa.
New components of the re-development will include 'story boards' which will carry details of the 26 Boorowa men who were decorated for especially meritorious service in WWI.
There will also be a plaque carrying the details of the Lone Pine, which was propagated from seed brought from Gallipoli.
A time capsule, to be opened in 50 years time, will also be put in place.
