People with Boorowa connections, from as far away as the Northern Territory, have expressed an interest in coming to Boorowa this year.
It is expected that many will march wearing medals of relatives who have served. The march this year will have all the special elements for which Boorowa is well known, including the drum band and participation by the Boorowa Cadet unit, schoolchildren and local organisations.
Being the Centenary Year, it is also expected that many more organisations will take the opportunity to lay wreathes at the War Memorial.
The day will begin with Dawn Services at Boorowa and Rugby, which are also expected to attract large attendances.
Numbers at these services have been growing over the years, and the Centenary occasion should ensure that this trend will be emphasised this year.
It is confidently expected that the people of Boorowa, and many others from further afield, will provide appropriate recognition of this significant event in Australian history.
