Gate takings were up, and the wonderful volunteers from the Boorowa Rotary Club helped the second biggest crowd on record through the gates.
The pavilion had approximately 1,500 exhibits on display for judging with all sections making a special effort for our "Boorowa Remembers" theme. Commercial exhibitors were plentiful with their wares, and there were cars, tractors and various agricultural implements on display to check over or buy. As always, the horse events were well attended as the horses and their riders use our show's great reputation to secure their qualification for the Sydney Royal that is on soon.
There were many juniors who came along to the cattle junior judging clinic held prior to a judging and junior parading competition.
The yard dogs saw nearly a hundred runs throughout the day and nearly had to finish by torchlight!
Thanks must go to the Khaki Vehicle Enthusiasts who came by with four vehicles in support of our theme. We wish them safe travels as they tour around to more meets with their wonderful old vehicles that represent our military history.
Our show opener, David Stevenson told us of his family connections to the history of the area and World War I service by some of those men.
It was wonderful to hear David speak fondly of how Boorowa is a proud part of his family's story.
Thank you to the community of Boorowa for supporting our local show this year. It is recognised by visitors as" a great little show", and often these comments are from exhibitors who travel to shows on many weekends. It can only be like this with your support.
We look forward to 2016!
