All venues have submitted at least one team which is great to see. Not only is the darts competition about players having a good time but it's also about supporting the local establishments as well. As usual the Rec Club and The Top Pub are well represented with three teams each whilst the Ram and Stallion have put together two quality teams. The Courthouse will be represented by one team that has been in preseason training since last year's grand finale. The Ex-Services will be represented by one team who as usual will live by the motto "we are here for a good time, not a long time". All in all it should be a very competitive competition with a number of the more prominent players in town switching teams. The salary cap auditor is convinced that all these transfers are above board.
The ten teams will play one full round before being graded into A & B grades. Then another two preliminary rounds will be played before the finals series of each grade commences. Play each night will begin at 7.30pm with the same format as last year. That being four singles games, two doubles games and a team's match. The full draw is available at all venues or through the team captains. Teams are reminded that all score sheets are to be filled out fully or risk losing points. Scoresheets are to be handed in to the Top Pub by no later than noon on Sunday.
So let the games begin, and here's to another huge season of the fastest growing sport in the world. See you at the board.
