The successful bidder for the signed Sam Burgess/John Sattler print was Milton Reid from Kanga Hardware.
Milton took time out from solving people's water problems to make a very generous, and successful bid which will go a long way towards the staging of a successful carnival.
The carnival will feature teams from Young (Burrangong Bears), Grenfell (Goannas) and two teams from Boorowa (Over Rovers and the Goldie Oldies) with some exciting Rugby League guaranteed.
As well as a four game feast of football there will be plenty of other entertainment including the traditional crowd favourite, the relay sprint as well a 'catch the bomb' competition.
There are lots of opportunities for local businesses to be involved with naming rights for various events and exposure throughout the region.
This will be a great carnival in honour of a man who contributed so much to rugby league and the communities he lived in, and any local businesses looking to be involved are encouraged to contact the Over Rovers as soon as possible.
It promises to be an outstanding day and the organisers hope the town gets behind what is planning to be an annual event.
