The Boorowa Hospital Auxillary Melbourne Cup Lunch was a resounding success. Over one hundred guests enjoyed a beautiful three course lunch and plenty of entertainment.

One Raffle prize for $100 IGA voucher, donated by Jocelyn Scott, was won by Sandie Armitage.
A black beautifully decorated sinamay hat made and donated by Suzanne
Hurley was won by Bec Stanley and Faye Carey won the oilcloth apron, also donated by Suzanne.
Winners of prizes for the hats and fascinators and all looking extremely elegant were Polly Picker, Jennifer Hall, Fiona Gorham, Monica Millynn and Kurston Piper.
President Mary Marsh thanked the Ex Services Club for providing the venue, all the helpers and donators and especially the Central School Hospitality Class for the excellent serving, Margaret Carmody for taking the bookings, and Graham Chown, Libby Vella and Helen Aldersey for the beautiful flower arrangements.
The sweeps were ably arranged by Helen McGrath and patrons were delighted to win a bottle of wine from a generous anonymous donor, as the wooden spoon prize in all the sweeps.
