Boorowa Pop 1200 One Day in a Small town is sponsored by Vision Graphics and the Boorowa Woolfest
Committee and will be on show from October 3 - 5.
Artist Sally Cooper explains:
“For Irish Woolfest I have created a multimedia photographic installation . Playing with scale enables you the viewer to feel the larger than life personalities. The large prints will be installed in amongst the trees by the river close to the centre of town, while at
night footage of the Boorowa landscape is projected onto the Town Hall puts you right there. Immersed in the space that these people inhabit but by no means are dwarfed by,” Ms Cooper said.
“Geographically speaking Boorowa is indeed a small town but in every other aspect it was to me, larger than life. The people there made a lasting impression on me as an artist and as an individual. The generosity, kindness and openness of the people I met there was an experience I will never forget.”
