With the Young competition undergoing significant restructures including sending two first grade teams to Cowra, the Boorowa team has explored the option of going to the Yass District competition.
Young will only have a second grade competition this year with the number of teams yet to be determined. Boorowa has been in recent negotiations with the Yass Association who have expressed an interest in having the Boorowa team on board.
Yass has both A and B Grades and at this stage it is undetermined what grade the locals would play in if they chose to go to Yass.
It's been well over a decade since Boorowa last played in the Yass competition in which Boorowa enjoyed immense success late last century.
All potential players and supporters are requested to attend a vital meeting to be held at the Courthouse Hotel at 7pm on this coming Tuesday 2 September to resolve these issues and move forward in preparing a team.
It is expected training will commence shortly after this date. What is certain is Boorowa will have a team but we need the numbers to be competitive no matter where we play. See you at the Corty on Tuesday night.
