The Rec Gold continues to stamp their dominance of the local darts scene with their eighth straight victory last Thursday night. This time their victims were the Mad Rams who they defeated 5-2.

The Rams tried hard with Redean Hignett recording a win in the singles for the Rams and Amon Tai and Deb Mcneill winning their doubles match. Rod Neeson with a 96 peg out and Grant Wales an 84 peg out were both impressive for the Rec.
In other games, The Horney Stallions overcame a luckless Ex-Services by 5-2 with Trevor Marchant throwing a 114 for the Stallions. The Top Pub Rebels produced a minor upset winning 5-2 over the Rec Wizards. The Better half’s had a good win over the Rec Green devils by 4-3 whilst the Courthouse stole a 4-3 win over the Top Pub Irish. The Top Pub Greenies won on a forfeit from Crows Rams.
With eight rounds now played the competition ladder now looks this way. Rec Gold are on top with 8. Top Pub Greenies have 7, Rec Wizards 5, Horne Stallions 5,Top Pub Rebels 4, Rec Green Devils 4, Top Pub Irish 3, Mad Rams 3,Better Half’s 3, Courthouse 3, Crows Rams 2 and the Ex-Services 0. Whilst the Pudman Street boys and girls are yet to open their account, they have been mighty competitive and a tad unlucky. One thing is for sure, they do like a good time.
The Draw for Round nine tonight sees the following games with the home side listed first. Crows Rams V Rec Wizards, Top Pub Rebels V Ex-Services, Mad rams V Top Pub Irish, Courthouse V Better Half’s, Rec Green Devils V Top Pub Greenies whilst possibly the match of the round will see the Rec Gold at home against the Horney Stallions.
