Taralga ran in the first two tries early in the first half but the home team kept themselves in the game with some tremendous defence and hard work in the forwards.
The Stalwart Adam Mokatupu pushed over the line late in the first half after a number of strong phases from the Goldies forwards. Nick Ryan converted. Well done, Nick.
The second half of the game saw an increase in intensity which was obvious when Kiwi tore one of the oppositions head gear in half, in a Hulk like fashion. However, Taralga also lifted in intensity, the hit out was tough. On one instance the big red fella (not Santa) got hold of the Boorowa inside centre and drove him back twenty metres.
The second half remained scoreless until Taralga ran in a third try with two minutes to go, leaving the score at 19 to 7.
Coach Ben Johnson said "it was an impressive effort from a team with plenty of injuries and a few people playing out of position". When George Evans was asked to comment on the game he just kept talking about his karaoke song choices.
Three points went to Ash Corkhill who was strong in defence. Two points and Player's player went to our fearless leader Dane Rowley, who doesn't seem to tire. One point was shared between Damien Harton and George Evans.
Boorowa take on Crookwell at Crookwell this weekend for the last game of the season. We hope to see you there.
