There is an event organised for April 6 but Council will not be providing a shuttle bus for that event.
The Council is looking to hire a bus and driver to shuttle those interested to Harden for the Friday night movie event and the Saturday morning scavenger hunt (details of events can be found on the Harden Shire Council website www.harden.nsw.gov.au).
The bus can take 20 children and seats will be assigned on a first come/first served basis. Confirmation of the availability and time of the service will be available from the Council Offices.
Each event will require a parental consent form to be signed and each child (or group of children that will remain together) must have a mobile phone on their person with the phone number to be given to Harden Shire Council for regular check-ins.
For the Friday Movie Night event, Harden Shire Council has organised to have a police presence and numerous Councillors and Council Members on site for supervision.
All involved in supervision roles have their First Aid Certification and have had their Working with Children documentation assessed.
For the Saturday Scavenger Hunt, Harden Shire Council has organised two Council Staff members and two Council checkpoints that children must pass through for the event.
Local businesses are also involved in this event and will be available to help any children that may be in need of assistance.
There will be a Harden Shire Council staff member on hand to meet the bus at the drop off point, and to ensure that all children are on the bus at the end of the event.
Boorowa Council will not be sending any supervision with the group.
To register your child’s interest in either and/or both of the shuttle bus runs, please phone Boorowa Council on (02) 6380 2000. Parental consent forms can be picked up at and returned to the Council Office. Interest must be registered by 4:30pm, Thursday, April 3 and forms must be given back to Council by 4:30pm, Friday, April 4.
