Thursday January 9 is a date that will stick strongly in the minds of one Central Western family, it was the night their lives were turned upside down.
The Esrom Street house fire in Bathurst left Bec Darlington and her two young boys fighting for their lives in Sydney hospitals after suffering extensive burns in the blaze.
One child, age eleven and another just eighteen months old lay in pain while the doctors and nurses tried to reduce the impact of the burns on their small bodies.
The family spent weeks in the hospitals recieving ongoing treatment and will need to continue to visit Sydney for further treatment in the weeks to come.
