The beneficiaries this year are SnowyHydro Southcare Helicopter and the two local P & C Associations.
The cold conditions did not deter a large crowd from attending, with the very attractive and welcoming Ladies Tent offering some shelter from the elements, as well as champagne and nibblies for the ladies.
The Boorowa Goldies wore specially designed “rotor” jumpers of green and blue (Southcare colors) and entertained the crowd with some very good rugby.
At half time Joseph Carmody and Anna McIntosh participated in a kicking competition much to the delight of the crowd.
A large crowd gathered at the Courthouse Hotel in the evening, where much laughter and fun was followed by the charity auction.
The generosity of the Boorowa community was once again on display, with all items attracting strong competition and the blue ribbon item “Flemo’s Kitchen Rules” selling to a syndicate for $1000.
In a twist of fate, Chris McIntosh found himself being sold as a slave for the night , with a large number of individuals and syndicates determined to “own” him. Chris, determined to remain his own man, was forced to pay big money to buy himself!!!
The Rugby Club works hard each year to make Ladies Day a success, but that can only happen with the support of the Boorowa community.
The Rugby Club would like to thank to all those involved, and hopes the money raised can help in some small way.
Dermot McGrath on behalf of St Josephs Primary School and Kim Blomfield on behalf of Boorowa Central School thanked the rugby club for its donations.
