Swimmers are setting their own personal best records every week at Swimming Club and it’s great to see all the kids encouraging each other to challenge themselves.
In recent weeks some club records have also been within seconds of being beaten.
It’s great to see the 25m swimmers giving the difficult strokes a crack with the 25m butterfly proving popular.
The younger 12m swimmers were also out in full force with every lane of the pool occupied for both races.
The 100m events have proven to be a challenge for some swimmers who want to push themselves and a big congratulations to those who have given it everything they have.
The older swimmers love a good race against each other.
It’s also a good practice run for upcoming school carnivals!
The ongoing dual between Mick Hinds and Sean Dwyer is always great to watch.
This week the 25m swimmers will get to try the breaststroke, while the butterfly will be left to the 50m swimmers, along with the usual freestyle events including the 400m.
Over the two days this weekend, the club has 11 swimmers competing in 59 events at the NSW Country Regional Meet at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra and we wish them all the very best!
