A Family Fun Night has been planned for the entire community to band together to raise money for much needed seating under the new shade at our local swimming pool.
Boorowa Swimming Pool will be THE place to be on Saturday, February 11 from 5pm until 9pm.
There will be novelty races for people of all ages including races on noodles, inflatable thongs and rubber dinghies, dress up relays and cork scrambles.
A barbecue dinner will be available from 5pm onwards, there will be tickets available in a monster raffle with great prizes generously donated by local businesses and spot prizes announced throughout the night.
The highlight of the night will be a swim-a-thon, which all swimmers, young and old are invited to participate in. Younger children will be able to lap across the pool and all participants are encouraged to seek pledges of sponsorship for each lap swum on the night. Sponsorship forms are available from the pool and there are major prizes valued at $100 for the swimmer who completes the most laps and $200 for the swimmer who raises the most money!
Sports teams are welcome to enter as well as family teams, teams of mates or business teams.
There is also a $100 voucher kindly donated by the Court House Hotel for the team that raises the most money.
Bring your friends, families, team mates and work colleagues and join in a fantastic night which will benefit the entire community while having a whole heap of fun!
