The big day was a huge success for Ben as he swam in five events, bringing home three silver medals in 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke and 100m backstroke as well as a bronze in the 50m butterfly.

This fantastic result means that Ben will travel to Sydney in March for the Speedo Sprint Finals in 50m backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly events.

Swimmers were out in force last Friday to enjoy the last night of general Swimming Club before Championship nights commence this week.

The usual 12m and 25m freestyle events were as popular as ever.

Tennisson and Sofala Neville swam beautifully in their events.

Gary Johnson, Chandler Power, Jai Allison, Sam Corkhill, Lleyton Allison, Austin Power and Jack Hinds were amongst many who battled out the 50m freestyle events.

The 1500m event was popular this year with Morgan Liddle, Milli Smith, Rebecca Luxford and Jody Liddle swimming for the girls.

The boys race included Rhys Smith, Mick Hinds, Jack Fahey, Ben Davis, Brock Ritchie and Paddy Fahey. A fantastic effort by all swimmers involved!

T he community is looking forward to the Family Fun Night at Boorowa Pool this Saturday.

The event will kick off at 5pm with novelty events and lots of fun and games.

The swim-a-thon will be the last event of the night.

Those still wishing to participate are able to get sponsorship forms from the pool or from IGA to raise money for seating under the new shade structures at the pool.

There are hundreds of dollars in prizes up for grabs for those who swim the most laps and raise the most money as well as a monster raffle with great prizes donated by local businesses.

Come along and join in the fun for a great cause that will benefit the whole community.

Everyone will walk away with something on the night! See you there.
