This weekend marks the start of the 2010 rugby season with the Boorowa Goldies travelling to Crookwell for their first hit out against the Dogs.
Kick of will be at the normal time of 2 30pm.
Both the players and supporters are enthusiastic about the commencement of the season and are obviously hoping to pick up where they left off last year as undefeated premiers for the 2009 season.
2010 will see many of last year’s players once again take the paddock for the Goldies, however there are a few new faces splashed throughout the team which is a great sign for the season to come.
The Goldies will play their first home game on Saturday, May 15.
This day will also see the club hosting the 2010 Sponsors’ Day.
It is hoped that a large crowd will be present for the first game of the season and all sponsors will be able to meet the players who will don their branded jersey for the 2010 season.
A reminder that the Boorowa Rugby Club will be holding its annual charity ladies day on Saturday, May 22.
As always the club have organised bigger and better things this year with some exciting things happening during the day and into the evening.
The Goldies will be kitted out in pink playing jerseys for the game and these will be able to be purchased in the evening during the charity auction.
It is anticipated that these will be hotly contested as sponsors, players and supporters have a once only opportunity to buy a hot pink Boorowa Rugby jersey.
The night entertainment will include the popular live band – The Phat Boyz, who will entertain the crowd and ensure evening goes off with a bang.
Watch out for more information about Ladies Day closer to the event – it’s not to be missed.
