The Boorowa Rugby Club are gearing up for another busy year, with players already in training for the upcoming season. A highlight of the pre season will have the Goldies touring to New Zealand, leaving on Thursday, 18 March and returning on Thursday, 25 March. With 26 members going, and at least one rugby game organized, this should be a great opportunity for the team to see the strength of country rugby in New Zealand.
The Rugby Club has once again received great support from sponsors, and the Committee would like to extend their thanks to all concerned. The major sponsor for the 2010 season is the Top Pub. The Club relies very heavily on sponsor support and could not continue operating without their help.
Some dates on the rugby social calendar to keep in mind are: Sponsors Day - 15 May; Ladies Day - 22 May; Mid Season Ball - 17 July.
The local competition commences on Saturday, 1 May and the Goldies face a number of new teams in the Monaro Second Division competition, which will make for an interesting year. Bruce Nixon will again be coaching and there are a number of new faces in the 2010 team.
