Rovers go down in last game

26 Aug, 2010 08:15 AM
Boorowa Rovers were edged out of their last game in wet conditions by the Harman Seadogs 18-12.

The Rovers did not play the game they were hoping to play and with the loss of Chris Mason, Mick Elkins and Reece Coble for the game, it made it a big task for the boys.

Harman opened the scoring early with a converted try after 10 minutes. Boorowa bounced back after 20 minutes of play and once the hail had set in, the half time score was 6-all.

The second half was anyone’s game but with fullback Andrew Swaffield heavily concussed, Boorowa’s attacking options were minimal.

With a call to play to the conditions, both sides were attacking the middle. Harman scored two tries before Boorowa struck back.

Sammy Lynam scored a double and Swaffield converted both, but it was too late with the full time score Harman 18-Boorowa 12
