The Recreational competitors were Marnie and Talia Halls, Zac Franklin, Amelia Hewitt, Harry Fuller, Jack Kennett, Cheyenne Grocott, and Laelle and Nimue Ford who performed a series of skills on vault, beam, floor and bars.

In Sports Acrobatics gymnasts compete as partners or trios and complete two routines on the floor (dynamic and balance), each scored out of 10. Each routine includes eight skills that are performed as partner/trio balances or individually in unison.

Teagan Simpson, Olivia Gay and Meg McIntosh competed at Level 2 trio.

Our Level 3 pair competitors were Teagan and Meg who perform some difficult balances at this level.

The Level 2 pairs were Claire Kitchingman and Mackenzie Gooley, Meg and Jetta Kennett and Olivia Gay and Alice Kelly.

The Level 1 pairs were Dylan Roberts and Nick Stephens, Jai and Lleyton Allison, Kiara Shean and Milli Smith, Catherine Barbarasa and Claire Howlett, while Dylan also partnered Jack Kennett and Marlie also partnered Tiffany Campbell.

The Team Gym competition consists of six to 12 gymnasts who perform individual tumbling and mini trampoline skills and a combined floor routine which includes dance, gymnastic skills and balances.

Our team members were Teagan Simpson, Claire Kitchingman, Mackenzie Gooley, Meg Kennett, Bonnie Flannery, Olivia Gay and Meg McIntosh.

The gymnasts are now looking forward to a sleepover on Friday night before the end of year display to be held on Saturday 10 December at 11am. Everyone is welcome to attend the display and entry is free.

This year has been a busy one for the club with members attending trampoline and artistic gymnastics levels competitions in the ACT in June and September, and the ACT Schools gymnastic competition in November as well as last weekend’s Sports Acrobatic, Recreational and Team gym competitions at Yass.

Other club members who have attended competitions this year are: Grace Gay, Charlee Griffiths, Mackellar Pye, Grace Corkhill, Lucy Kershaw, Charlie Baddock, Charlotte and Annabelle Smith, Shania George and Abigail Daniels.
