THE REAL DEAL: Byron “Rex Hunt” Campbell is the real deal when it comes to master fishermen. I would sincerely like to apologise for the misunderstanding that saw me name Byron’s father Gavin as the catcher in last week’s paper.
Byron, who is in Mrs Gay’s kinder class at Boorowa Central School, took the beautiful one kilo trout using his fishing rod and PowerBait. It just goes to show that there are good table fish in the pond and what better way could there be to spend a peaceful weekend than in our beautiful park dangling a line? We know there’s at least one more as James Farrell caught and released another good sized trout on the same day.
