Troy Cross, 21, will be riding at Melbourne on May 9, against the world, in a Bull riding competition.
Mr Cross started riding steers at the age of 14 at the Harden Rodeo, where he took out the Rookie title that year and then just a year later he took out the title.
He started riding novice bulls at the age of 15 and took out the title at 16.
Mr Cross has won a number of buckles to date and because of the number of points he had, he had to go up to broke open bull riding at the age of 17.
Troy has ridden at the Royal Easter Show for the last three years and is the leading Australian Pro Rodeo rider at the moment.
It is only the top eight riders from each country competing who are invited to ride at Melbourne.
Mr Cross is saving to get to America to be able to ride over there.
