The final score was 20-14. Once again a lack of goal kicking left the result in the balance until the final whistle. However four tries was good result which also gave Boorowa a bonus point which will be handy at the end of the season.

Boorowa started at 100 miles an hour and were rewarded with a try by the seven minute mark. Boorowa then let Crookwell back in the game until half time and were trailing at the break 7-5.

But Boorowa awoke after the half-time break and scored another three tries to seal the game although Crookwell did score a try on the bell.

The return of Brad Smith to centres really gave Boorowa some go forward and this, combined with some of the forward pack lifting their work and thus really starting to work together as a pack, showed through on the day.

As usual Matt Brown had another top game in the forwards, dominating the line outs and general play. Christian Wyse and the evergreen John Turner also featured in the points for the forwards. In the backs the best were Will and Charlie Schmidt and Mick King who has been moved to fly half which appears to be a successful move.

Next week Boorowa plays Bombala in Canberra at 2.30 in another tough game which Boorowa needs to win to hold their spot in the run to the semis. Boorowa is holding third spot at present and only has one more home game out of the four games left so each point they can win is becoming vital.

A bus will be leaving the top pub at 12 noon and returning straight after the game which is available to players and supporters. The following week Boorowa has its last home game against Royals at 2.30. AM
