Recreation Club
Be at the Boorowa Recreation Club this Sunday at 1.30pm when the Boorowa Bowling Club takes on the Boorowa Ex-Services.
Over the years these have been tight games with the home team usually taking the honours. The Bowling Club is going through a re building stage with new debutants Mark Poplin, Ray Martin and Greg Nodder Neal being thrown into the big time during the pennant season.
The sides for this Sunday are as follows: Greg Neal, Ray Ryan, Peter Thomas and Robert Styles. Ray Martin, Alf George, Megs Hyde and Frank Kelly. Graeme Chown, Sam Beattie,Pat Corcoran and Paul Walsh.
Last Sunday the pennant team travelled to Yass and had a disappointing, however, enjoyable day.
The rain stayed away as well as some bowlers skills.
Paul Walsh’s side of Laurie Poole, Chris Howlett and Pat Corcoran were the only winners for the day grabbing 2 shots on the last end to win 21 -19.
Robert Styles team took on red hot skip John O’Donnel and were just pipped at the post 21 to 17.
Frank Kelly’s team will be looking for a big improvement this Sunday in the local derby.
