Robert Styles won his 13th Boorowa Golf Club Championship last weekend. Robert had scores of 100 on Saturday and 97 on Sunday, to edge out Daniel Bush who was runner up with 104 and 108. Daniel was a clear winner of the Junior Championship. In B Grade, Dennis Watson won another title with 244, while Marty Downes was runner up after a play off with Michael Nash. Both players finished with 249 after 54 holes. Mark Poplin won the trophy for junior golfers with handicaps over 27.

Saturday’s Club Trophy was won by John Hyde with 70 net 54, while Brett Watts was runner up with 80 net 55. Ball winners were Michael Nash 88 net 58 and Dennis Watson 77net 58. Dennis Watson and John Hyde were ball winners for nearest the pin on the ninth green. Michael Nash had the round of the weekend on Sunday, to win a Club Trophy with 79 net 50. Tim Good was runner up with a top round of 83 net 56. Ball competition winners were Robert Styles with 65 net 58 and Tony Walters 76 net 59. Nearest the pin winners were Anthony Greig and Jim Beath.

Next Saturday golfers play a Stableford event for the Cliff Workman Trophy, while on Sunday golfers play a three person Ambrose event in the Burrowa House Charity Day. The Junior Golf summer competition commences this Saturday, 13th October with a 9.00 am hit off. Colin Frecklinton from Cloverleigh will be at Boorowa on Saturday 20th October for junior golf coaching, with a 9.00am start.
