Students from St Joseph’s school have been making a splash at the Western Region swimming carnival over the last few weeks. St Joseph’s have retained the Handicap Trophy for the 10th time in 13 years, a wonderful achievement for a small school.
Kathleen Carmody placed runner up in the Senior Girls division. Many parents and friends were on hand to assist; Year 10 students from Hennessy Catholic College, Michael John Corcoran, Thomas Tuckerman, Claire Beath, Georgina Stokehill and Brendan McGrath offered invaluable assistance on the day.
On Friday Kathleen Carmody, Tim Gorham, Mick Hinds, Lauren Jenkins, Alexcen Berry, Sam Beath and Isabella McGrath will travel to Queanbeyan to compete in the Archdiocesan Carnival.
