Ladies golf open day

A strong field of 14 players teed off last week for the Boorowa Ladies Golf Open Day. Players braved near heat-wave conditions to finish the Canadian Foursomes round. Scratch winners were Margaret Blomfield and Frances Brewer, with runners up Bev good and Kaye Fahey. Handicap winners Suzanne Manning and Mona Dwyer edged out runners up Tina Merriman and Mary Clark. Next week’s event is an Irish Canadian and will start at 9.30 am. There will be a draw for partners. Players on cards are Margaret Blomfield and Jeannie Gledhill.
