Catholic Primary Schools chess tournament

14 Dec, 2007 02:57 PM
Thirty-six teams from Catholic Primary Schools across the Canberra-Goulburn Archdiocese descended on Boorowa last week for an exciting day of chess.

The annual Chess Tournament which has been organised for the last six years by Mr Peter Hughes, Principal of St Joseph’s Primary School, was considered a huge success and the children thoroughly enjoyed the challenging day.

Winners on the day were separated by only half a point from the runners-up. Stephen Hughes, Anna Bewley and James Neddrie from St Joseph’s in Boorowa were placed second behind Rosary Primary, Watson.
