Young guns put through their paces

13 Nov, 2008 06:39 AM
CRICKET NSW development officer Steve Weckert visited Boorowa Central School last Wednesday and put the students from Years Three to 11 through their paces with some interesting and fun cricket related drills.

The Year Seven to 10 cricket team spent one and a half hours at the rec ground going through fielding drills and refining skills from throwing, catching and fielding before taking to the nets and working on batting and bowling.

Valuable information and skills were passed on and at all times the message of sportsmanship and enjoyment were reinforced.

All students involved enjoyed their sessions and walked away with a cricket NSW showbag.

Steve Weckert said it was by far the best behaved and most enjoyable school session he has done. Congratulations to the students involved and we look forward to further visits in the future.
