As sure as night follows day, the rain came tumbling down again last Saturday interrupting another round of cricket which was declared another washout.

At the time the heavens opened, the Bears slightly held the upper hand in the match chasing down a low Boorowa total with the locals again doing it tough with the bat.
Boorowa won the toss and elected to bat with the clouds building to the west and rain a certainty.
Phil Coggins and Sean Dwyer started steadily reaching 12 in the sixth over before Coggo was caught at square leg.
Some accurate bowling saw Sean follow shortly after whilst Chris Dwyer and Sam Lynam failed to trouble the scorers.
Again the side was in all sorts of trouble at 4/19 before Russell George and Simon Pye set about re-building the innings.
They put on 30 for the fifth wicket before Russell departed for 17.
Pyesey battled hard to reach 23. but at 9/75 it appeared that perhaps the game may well be completed before the rain came.
The hard hitting Cameron Johnston strode to the crease and made a quick fire 24 not out before the last wicket went down at 110 after a useful stand of 35 between Cameron and Tom Magee.
It at least gave the Boorowa bowlers something to work with.
The conditions were very gloomy and batting wasn’t easy for the Bears with a slow outfield making life hard as well.
Boorowa claimed a couple of early scalps and were still confident they could claim victory when the heavens opened with the score at 2/30.
Chris Dwyer was the wicket taker for the locals whilst Sam’s bowling was again hard to handle for the batsmen in the failing light.
This weekend the side travels to Alfred oval on Saturday to take on the A-Grade front runners the Coyotes.
It’s yet another tough one for the boys, but no game is easy these days.
With two rounds left the positions for the semi finals are still unclear.
Meanwhile this Friday nights scheduled 20/20 semi final has now been pushed back a week to March 4 with the starting time remaining at 8.30 against the Blues at Alfred oval.
The B-Grade games were unable to be played last Friday and will now be played tomorrow night.
Here’s hoping the weather holds together and the locals batting does too.
