09 Apr 10 | The annual Rugby versus Narrawa Cricket Day was held on Easter Saturday at the Rugby Recreation Park.
It was the ninth year it has been held with the Woodford Shield being equally won four times by Narrawa and four times by Rugby until this year with Rugby again winning the shield with a score of 162 to 129.
01 Apr 10 | THE Young and District Cricket Association held their annual presentation night at the Young PCYC last Friday with New Zealand great Sir Richard Hadlee travelling to Young especially for the ceremony.
25 Mar 10 | What a week it was for Boorowa Cricket. First the Junior under 10’s and under 12’s brought home their respective premierships and then on Saturday the seniors achieved further Premiership glory with a thrilling two wicket win to claim the Criterion Cup second grade title against the Criterion Shamrocks.
18 Feb 10 | In weather conditions more conducive to the first weekend of the footy season, Boorowa and Young JRL managed to get a game of cricket in before the heavens opened up last Saturday.
Unfortunately for the locals, despite winning the match by three wickets, the victory is only a moral one as the other matches in the competition were washed out deeming this one a no result too.

Last Saturday saw the Criterion Shamrocks led by Publican Barry (Diamond Duck) McGahon visit the recreation ground, together with their loyal band of vocal supporters.
17 Dec 09 | After narrowly missing the cut for first grade due to a lower run quotient, Boorowa issued a sound warning to those remaining sides in second grade cricket by crushing Young JRL by seven wickets at the recreation ground last Saturday.
19 Nov 09 | Boorowa had a costly nine run loss in last Saturday’s cricket against the very determined and spirited S&C Young ones at the recreation ground. It was a disappointing result for the locals, particularly after their impressive effort the week before to route the Coyotes.
23 Apr 09 | This year was a very successful season with the introduction for the first time in a lot of years of two Boorowa open teams.
The introduction of these two teams is an indication of the health of cricket in Boorowa.
02 Apr 09 | The brave bid for a premiership by the Green Berets came to an abrupt end last Saturday when they were defeated in the Grand Final by a well drilled Criterion Shamrocks side at Gus Smith Oval in Young.
The defending premiers went back to back producing a polished display using their experience to win by 6 wickets.
