 Snags for Australia Day

Snags for Australia Day

22 Jan, 2009 12:22 PM
It was a great day for a barbeque on Saturday and the Australia Day Committee made the most of it selling lots of sausages as a fund raiser for Australia Day.

The idea behind the barbeque was to raise money so that the residents of Boorowa can enjoy Australia Day in the Park for as little cost as possible.

Most of the activities will be free and there are a lot of things going on during this great family day, some of the activities are the fishing contest, rubber duck races, tossing the thong, hula hoop contest, kiddies corner where the children can get their faces painted and get balloons from “Dazza the Clown”.

If you are feeling energetic there will be bowls, golf and the swimming pool has free entry for the day.

There will be breakfast, for a small charge, in the Park, damper and scones, the Ex-Serviceman luncheon at the Ex-Services Club so you should not go hungry.

You will be able to listen to the Balladeers in the afternoon.

So come along and have a great day.
