Public transport launch in Boorowa

06 Dec, 2007 05:41 AM
A fully funded public transport trial begins in Boorowa next Thursday, 13 December 2007. Traditionally one of the most disadvantaged rural centres for public transport, Boorowa residents will now have regular and affordable access to services in Young that are not available in Boorowa.

After submissions to the Ministry of Transport and months of planning and negotiations, the new transport will provide a once weekly service to Young via Murringo. The bus service will depart from the Boorowa Central School in Dry Street, and the Marsden Street bus stop situated in front of the Police Station. The bus will leave at 9am and will be back in Boorowa by 3pm.
