Boorowa and District community organisations have again been the recipients of grant funding to improve the local community.
For the second year in a row the Boorowa Community Grants program has funded a range of community projects.
The grants program is funded by the Boorowa Community Bank branch.
This year eight community groups were granted more than $43, 000 in funds.
Recipients for this year’s program were
St Joseph’s Primary School for a Gross Motor Development Program, the cheque was collected by Principal Peter Hughes.
Boorowa Catholic church for the restoration of the stained glass windows, the cheque was collected by Father Greg Beath.
Boorowa and District RSL for the War memorial, the cheque was collected by Mr Derrick Mason.
Kenyu-Goba Bush Fire Brigade for defibrillator training, the cheque was collected by Greg Mason.
Rugby Hall for the Recreation Reserve Project, the cheque was collected by Mr William Kelly.
Rye Park Hall for acoustic sound panels, the cheque was collected by Mr Mark Grady.
Boorowa Central School for an outdoor physical fitness centre, and the cheque was collected by Acting Principal Ms Jenny Green
Boorowa Preschool for an outdoor learning centre.
In the past two years more than $100,000 in funding has been granted to local charities and not-for-profit groups through the program.
The grants program is conducted by Community Enterprise Foundation, the Philanthropic arm of the Bendigo Bank.
