It has been announced that 2012 will be the National Year of Reading which will see a lot of amazing, fun with reading activities taking place around Australia and online, so people of all ages, from different backgrounds, can discover and rediscover the joy of reading.
Each month Boorowa Central School Infants and Primary student readers will read around a particular theme as they join in the National Year of Reading celebrations.
Our students will be involved in the monthly themes decided by the organisers of the National Year of Reading during their library lessons with Mrs Eustace as listed below.
February - Laugh , March - Think, April - Feel , May - Escape , June - Dream, July - Discover, August - Question, September - Grow, October - Explore , November - The Amazing Read, December - Love2Read.
More information and links to each of those themes is available at http://love2read2012.wordpress.co m/.
To enable students to fully participate in the National Year of Reading they will be spending time looking at all aspects of reading and working with different reading materials in the hope of building in them a lifelong love of all types of reading.
