Leonie and Bert Halley are the new Life Members, unfortunately Mr Halley was unable to be at the meeting to receive his citation.

Mr Halley attended his first Probus meeting in 1991 and was elected President the same year.

In 1992, he was appointed Vice President and remained in that position until 1997.

Mr Halley became Guest Speaker Officer in 2001 and continued in the position for 2002 and in 2003 he became President again.

Becoming Guest Speaker Officer again in 2007 and 2008.

Boorowa Probus Club had much pleasure in presenting Mr Halley with his life membership with their best wishes and appreciation for his many years of service to the Club.

Mrs Halley’s name appeared on the Roll of the Boorowa Probus Club in 1993 and again in 1996 and then in 1998 when she began to attend more regularly with her husband Bert.

Mrs Halley became Secretary in 2001 and stayed in the position until 2004.

Becoming Vice President in 2007, tried to retire only to become the Social Secretary when no one else would take it on, until early 2009 when she organised the wonderful trip to the Southern Highlands.

Boorowa Probus club proudly presented Mrs Halley with her Life Membership with best wishes and thanked her for her years of service and friendship.
