Councillor Wendy Tuckerman became Boorowa’s first female Mayor in a closely contested vote at Monday’s council meeting. In a direct reversal from last year’s voting, which saw Cr Chris Corcoran win with five votes to four, Mayor Tuckerman has taken office by the same margin. Cr Liz Webster was voted unopposed as Deputy Mayor making the first all-female leadership team to represent the Boorowa Shire.
