Gathering of women
All women are invited to come along to St Clement’s Monastery at Galong on Thursday 25th October to a one-day gathering for the women for the communities of Harden, Galong, Boorowa and Binalong and surrounds.
This event is a pilot for the Monastery in what is hoped to become a regular event several times a year; not only for women, but men as well. “We hope to provide the local communities with a place to come and learn about mental health and wellbeing” said Fr Pat Corbett, Rector at St Clement’s Monastery. Fr Corbett said in this current climate, more so than ever, people of rural and regional Australia need this resource to provide necessary tools to support the family unit.
St Clement’s Monastery has teamed up with ‘The Country Crusaders’, a group of women in the district who are looking to provide more resources, programs and events for families to come together and provide a support network across the district.
The facilitators for the day are –
Liz Davidson will provide a session on mental health and wellbeing
Trish Ryan will conduct a session on nutrition and diet and;
Gabi Hart will be hosting a session on meditation and breathing
These experienced professionals – dynamic women from our local communities – are about improving the health and wellbeing of women and empowering them to feel re-energised.
The day is one that will be a good opportunity for women to “re-charge their batteries”; reflect on their own lives and for women to network with other women.
Come along to St Clement’s Monastery at Galong on Thursday 25th October 2007. Registration commences at 9.00am. The cost for the day is $20.00 (lunch is provided).
