Aussie pride alive and well in Boorowa

31 Jan, 2008 05:27 AM
Perfect weather and a fabulous roll up of residents and visitors saw a great celebration in Boorowa on Australia Day. There were duck races, fishing competitions, face painting, music and games and of course, the recognition of those members of our community who have made this such a wonderful place to live.

The official part of the day finished with the cutting of the Australia Cake.

President of the Boorowa Australia Day Committee, John Snelling was delighted by the event. “There was a brilliant turnout,” he said, “I think there were around 400 people in attendance. That’s almost a third of our population.”
