26 Jun 08 | Boorowa Central School sent an awesome team of cross country runners to the Western Area Trials held at Wellington on Wednesday 11 June. The team had a very successful day. Chris Turner competed first up on the day in the 16yrs race with his training paying off. He finished in ninth position – a creditable result in a fast field over six kilometres. The 14 year olds ran together.
26 Jun 08 | The Southern General Practice Network now has a free Community Support Service available to the region’s rural communities. The Mental Health Support for Drought-Affected Communities initiative, funded by the Department of Health and Ageing, is providing $10.9m over two years (2007-09) to build the capacity of rural and remote drought affected communities to respond to the psychological impact of drought.

05 Jun 08 | Boorowa Central School hosted six other central schools from around the Riverina Region last week in a magnificent day of touch. Teams from Braidwood, The Rock, Coolamon, Quandialla, Ariah Park and Boorowa contested the U16 boys and girls touch to earn the right to play at the Central schools finals in august at Dubbo.
05 Jun 08 | The Boorowa Rugby Union Club held a charity day on Saturday 31 May to celebrate women, community spirit and to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This is the only national not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to supporting and promoting high quality research into the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer.
