The mighty Boorowa/Harden under 8s took on mortal enemy Young last Saturday and came away with a hard fought win. Although both teams scored five tries apiece the locals superior goal kicking handed them the win.
29 May 08 | The Boorowa community is outraged over a letter written by a senior manager of the Greater Southern Area Health Service (GSAHS) to a member of the nursing staff of Boorowa hospital. Councillor Robert Gledhill raised the matter at the monthly meeting of council on Monday. He moved a recommendation that council approach the new General Manager of GSAHS to request a meeting to discuss the service levels at Boorowa Hospital.
22 May 08 | The Boorowa Goldies were defeated 37-5 by Crookwell on Saturday. In cold and difficult conditions, Boorowa conceded points early on which put them on the back foot for the rest of the game. Last minute team changes combined with some experience from Crookwell left the Goldies with few answers in the opening exchanges.

In the first half Jai Allison took position as goalie. Boorowa Tyre Service kept the ball up the opposition’s side with a couple of attempts just missing. Charles Webb scored the first goal.
Second half saw William Wales in the goalie’s position. Charles Webb scoring two more goals making the score 3-0. All players had a great game and spread out through the field. Good luck next week.
15 May 08 | PITT STREET: The cold and blustery weather last Wednesday did not deter the South West District ladies from invading the Boorowa Golf Club. Over 90 ladies competed in the scratch event, braving wind and rain. The Ladies Golf Club would like to make special thanks to the spotters, groundsmen, kitchen ladies and the starter for helping to make it a great day of golf.

08 May 08 | The Boorowa Goldie’s held a Sponsors’ Day on Saturday 3 May for their first home game of the 2008 Rugby Union Season. A short presentation was held prior to the game for the sponsors to present their jersey to the players.
